Asynchronous Learning 

Synchronous learning is real-time learning; it's when the whole class/group is doing the same activity at the same time.  There are many different ways to conduct synchronous learning including video conferencing, viewing the same presentation at the same time and more.

Nearpod

Individual, Whole Class

App, Site, Google Slides Add On, PowerPoint Add On

Create interactive presentations! Use already made PowerPoints/Slides to add interactive questions where students contribute like draw it slides, polls, short answers, quizzes.  Insert field trips, 3D objects and simulations to add life to any lesson.  Use the "Student Paced" option for synchronous learning.

Pear Deck

Individual, Whole Class

App, Site, Google Slides Add On, PowerPoint Add On

Create interactive presentations with Peardeck.  Turn your already made Google Slides and/or PowerPoints into interactive lessons and easily flip between a teacher paced and a student paced lesson.  Add draw it slides, short answers and text to let students interact with your once passive presentations.  Use the "Student Paced" option for synchronous learning.

Flipgrid

Whole Class (Each student responds individually)

Amplify student voice with Flipgrid.  Simply create your grid(s) and then add your topics for your students to respond to.  Flipgrid gives you tons of amazing options like moderating videos so that you can approve them before they go public, finding a #gridpal so you can work with teachers and their classes from around the world, explore the #DiscoLibrary to see and use topics others have created, and record Shorts which are videos that you can share out.  Student love the ease of recording with Flipgrid and having the chance to voice their opinions!

EdPuzzle

Whole Class (Each student completes questions individually)

App, Site

Edpuzzle allows you to add questions into the middle of a video that students must answer.  Edpuzzle has videos from Khan Academy, YouTube, Crash Course and more.  There are three different question types that can be graded.  The reports section is amazing as you can see each student's score and how much time they spent on the video!
