There are many different assessment tools available online and some are even built right into the platforms that you use everyday. Assessment tools allow you to use different types of questions (multiple choice, short answer, paragraphs, check boxes etc.) to gain insights into student understanding, data, and/or grading purposes.

Google Forms is built in to G Suite for Education. Choose from many different types of questions, some of which can be self grading. You have the option to shuffle questions and shuffle options (multiple choice questions) or use them as a choose your own adventure where students go to different sections based on their answer to specific questions. Forms can be restricted to those in your domain or open for anyone with the link. There is a response section that shows summaries of each question or drill down by question or individual responses.

Perfect for quizzes, surveys and polls and see the answers as they come in in real-time. You have the option to restrict the form to your domain or to open it to anyone with the link.
